The Supreme Court on Wednesday ordered the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) to frame the guidelines for ex-Gratia’ compensation payment to members of the family who surrendered to Covid-19, Ani’s news agency reported.
A three judge led by Justice Ashok Bhushan, in his assessment, also directed NDMA to ensure in the 6 weeks of ex-gratia which could be paid to their family members who died of infection.
The court order came in response to requests looking for ex-gratia each Rs 4 lakh against the family of everyone who gave up on the virus. This center has been delivered by Affidavit that the state government cannot afford to pay this, and argues to support a broader approach including health intervention.
In his written statement, this center proposed that the Ex Gratia RS 4 Lakh is beyond the affordability of the state government and argues that if the RS 4 lakh is paid to KIN each, it is “may” consume all the amount of state disaster assistance (SDRF), leaving Countries with insufficient funds to regulate response to pandemic, or to take care of other disasters.
The government shows that public health is the subject of the country under the schedule of 7 constitutions and that the combined funds 2021-22 for 12 disasters notifications for SDRF for all countries are Rs 22,184 Crore.
Until now, 3.98 people have given up on infection, health ministry data shows.
