Police cases mounted against Twitter, officials after US-based social media giant loss of legal shields in India

While the case rose against MD Twitter, and other officials, registered in complaints by a Bajrang Dal leader, who in Madhya Pradesh was submitted based on complaints by a social activist.
Police Delhi, on June 29, submitted a First Information Report (FIR) against Twitter for complaints who accused that child pornographic content is available on the social media platform.

This is the fourth case against Twitter in India because of the previous ‘legal shield’ in June for content posted by users, marking escalation in rows between US companies and the central government.

Before the case in Delhi, two separate cases at Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, named Twitter India MD Manish Maheshwari in the firs on the wrong Indian map.

In the complaint of the pornography of the child, a spokesman for Delhi Police Chinmoy Balmal to the PTI news agency that the National Commission for Protection of Children’s Rights (NCPCR), the Children’s Rights Agency of the Law that works under the AEGIS Ministry of Women and the development of children, has filed a complaint Twitter about “availability of child sexual harassment and child porn material” on the platform in the form of accounts and links.

“A pine under the relevant IPC section, it acts and Pocso [protection of children from sexual violations] has been registered by cyber crime units, and investigations have been taken,” he said.
