Mumbai: Heavy rains put the Mumbai and suburban parts for several hours last night and early this morning, which leads to the flood road and some delays to the local train. Waterlogging was reported from several places, including the Gandhi market area, Junction Hindmata and Dumecious Subway.
Waterlogging was also reported from the area of Sion, Bandra, Andheri and Santacruz in Mumbai.
Visual from the Ani news agency showed a flooding track at the Sion train station, where hundreds of passengers were protected on a platform – the scenery was not liked during the pandemic.
The city of Mumbai recorded 55.3 mm rain between 4am and 9 o’clock in the morning, officials said, added that the eastern suburb of each recorded 135 mm and 140.5 mm.

Services on the trans-harbor line (Thane to Vashi / Panvel) and the 4th Corridor (Slapur / Nerlul-Khatkopar Line) runs on schedule.
Central Railway runs suburban services in four separate corridors in the Mumbai Metropolitan region of Mumbai. Before the Covid-19 pandemic, used to operate more than 1,700 services and bring more than 40 lakh passengers every day.
Western Railway said that despite heavy rain, suburban services are running normally between Churchgate and Dahanu Road, with only a small delay due to low visibility in several regions.
The local train service is currently running only for personnel involved in health and other important services, and is beyond the limit for general commuters considering the pandemic.
