Mumbai: Maharashtra reported 5,560 cases of new Coronavirus and 163 deaths in 24 hours Wednesday while 6,944 patients were dismissed from the hospital, said a health department official. On Tuesday the country has reported 5,609 new cases and 137 deaths.
The load kasel in the state has risen to 63.69.002, while the calculation of death has reached 1,34,364, he said.
The number of restored coronavirus patients increased to 61,66,620 on Wednesday, leaving the country with 64,570 active cases.
The recovery rate of Maharashtra cases is now at 96.82% and the mortality rate is 2.1%.
In 811, Ahmednagar reported the number of newest infections among the district.
Of the eight administrative areas, the Pune region reported 2,342 new cases, followed by 1,143 cases in the Kolhapur region.
The Mumbai region reported 791 cases, the Nashik 943 region, the Latur 255 region, Aurangabad 42 region, Akola 31 region and 13 cases of Nagpur cases.
Of the 163 fatalities, the highest number of deaths (69) was reported from the Pune region, followed by 35 in the Kolhapur region.
Mumbai Region reported 25 deaths due to Covid-19, Nashik Region 24, Aurangabad region, Regior Seven, Akola region. The Nagpur region did not report a single covid death.
Mumbai recorded 285 new cases and nine deaths. Pune reported 667 new infections and seven fatality.
With 2,11,041 samples tested during the day, the number of Coronavirus tests carried out so far rose to 5,01,16,137.
4,01,366 people were under house quarantine in Maharashtra while 2,676 were in institutional quarantine.
