After a Covid-19 review meeting with the health ministers of countries and Union homes last week, Union health minister Mansukh Mandaviya informed the media about the‘Har Ghar Dastak’ crusade to ramp up vaccination.
The central government will on Tuesday launch the‘Har Ghar Dastak’mega-vaccination crusade against coronavirus complaint (Covid-19) on the occasion of Dhanwantari Diwas, according to people familiar with the development. The month-long door-to- door vaccination crusade aims to invest the entire population in poor- performing sections.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who’s presently at Glasgow in the United Kingdom, is also set to hold a Covid-19 review match as soon as he returns to India after attending the COP26 climate conference. According to reports, the coronavirus review meeting will concentrate on sections with low vaccination content, those areas which have lower than 50 per cent content on the first cure and low content on the alternate cure as well.
After a Covid-19 review meeting with the health ministers of countries and Union homes last week, Union health minister Mansukh Mandaviya informed the media about the‘Har Ghar Dastak’ crusade to ramp up the vaccination drive. “ We’re going to launch a mega vaccination crusade‘Har Ghar Dastak’. We’ve decided that for the coming one month, healthcare workers will go door-to- door to vaccinate people eligible for the alternate cure and also those who haven’t taken the first cure,” said Mandaviya.
According to the Union minister, 77 per cent of the eligible population in India has been vaccinated against Covid-19 with the first cure while 32 per cent of people have entered both boluses.
“ Further than 10 crores people haven’t taken the alternate cure of vaccine,” he added. “ People who are eligible for the alternate cure should take the vaccine.”
Pressing the need to accelerate the pace and content of vaccination, he stated that there are further than10.34 crore people in the country who haven’t taken the alternate cure after the specified interval. As several countries report a high number of Covid-19 cases, the ramping of vaccination drive in India to reduce inflexibility becomes pivotal.
