A woman in China has sued her coworkers for hugging her too hard, which she claimed caused three ribs to break. The man gave him a ‘rib hug’ last year, but the woman submitted a case now, according to IOL. He came from Hunan Province and submitted a case in the Yunxi court, the outlet said further. He sought compensation for medical costs incurred and resting from the office he had to take because of extreme pain in his ribs.
The judge ordered the man to give his colleague 10,000 yuan (around $ 1,500) in damage.
Iol said in his report that the woman was talking to his colleague in the office when the man approached him and gave him a very tight hug, which made him scream in pain.
He immediately felt uncomfortable in his chest area and it continued even after working. But he took a resort to several medicine at home instead of seeking medical attention.
After not getting help in the following days, the woman finally decided to visit the hospital for examination, the IOL report said. The woman was surprised after X -ray revealed she had three broken ribs – two on the right side and one on the left side.
The woman then went on leave from work, which caused her to lose her salary. The medical fee places additional financial expenses to him, further outlets report.
The man, meanwhile, denied the woman’s accusation said he had no proof that the injury was caused by his friendly hug.
