A new video released by the US military shows when a bird flew to fighter jets last year, causing it to fall near Lake Worth during the landing approach. The incident took place last September, but the video was released now. T-45C Goshawk is conducting training training when a 4.5 pound bird is sung to a single Jet engine when he goes down to the runway at the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Fort Worth, according to a report on Fox News.
Jet caught fire in seconds after the accident on September 19, 2021, and damaged three houses, according to the US Navy report, said Fox News. Three people were injured in the incident.
The new recording shows a bird flying to the jet, and also contains the sound of the pilot that is heard says there is an emergency.
The pilot was first heard saying they would try to get to the runway, but then said they would not succeed. Alarm sounds are also heard in the cockpit video.
There were two people on the plane – an instructor and a student – and both were issued before the accident, Fox News said further.
Of the three houses, the Chris Sellers family had the luckiest escape when the jet engine landed a few inches from the place where he sat with his 9 -year -old daughter.
Sky News said the damage was worth 41 million pounds when the jet fell from the sky.
The investigation was launched a few days after the accident but a year later, it was still unclear what caused the plane to fall.
