Two dead, eight injured as house collapses in Mumbai’s Govandi

At least two people were killed and eight others were injured after a one-story house fainted in the Shivaji Nagar area in Govandi in East Mumbai on Friday, a civilian official said.

Ten people were injured in the incident, he said, added to it, while seven of them rushed to the Rajawadi hospital based in Ghatkopar, three others were taken to the Local Memorial Hospital in Tilak in Zion.

However, the doctor at Rajawadi Hospital stated that two of them were taken dead. The two deceased was identified as Neha Parvez Shaikh (35) and Toyo Zabir Shaikh, (80). The condition of a woman, identified as Shamshad Shaikh (45), is very important, he said.

The others underwent treatment and stabilized conditions, the official was added. More details about the incident were awaited.
