India will resume flights to this country from today

International passenger flights scheduled to and from the remaining India were suspended since March 2020 due to Covid-19 pandemic. However, India has signed air bubble settings with various countries to operate from flights.

Flight tickets between India and Bangladesh under bilateral air bubble arrangements will be continued from September 3, according to the Ministry of Civil Aviation.

Under air bubble settings between two countries, international passenger flights can be operated by each operator to each area subject to certain conditions. India has air bubble pact with 28 countries, which include Afghanistan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Canada, Ethiopia, France, Germany, Iraq, Japan, Kenya, Kuwait, Maldives, Neania, Oman, Qatar, Russia, Rwanda, Seychelles, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Ukraine, UAE, England, Uzbekistan and the United States.

Pact with Bangladesh, which began to apply from October 28, 2020, valid until March 27, 2021, where Indian and Bangladeshi operators were allowed to operate services between the two countries.

In communication with the Bangladeshi Civil Aviation Authority on August 28, the ministry said that air bubbles could be revived from September 3 to the return of international passenger flights.

Rajeev Jain, Director General (Supplementary Media & Communication) and a Civil Service Ministry spokesman confirmed that the flight would be continued from September 3, reporting the PTI news agency.

Domestic operators – Spicejet, Indigo and Air India – will operate flights to Dhaka.

According to the Ministry, Indian and Bangladeshi operators are permitted to operate services between the two countries and bring the following categories of the flight on August 11:

From India to Bangladesh

– Citizens / Bangladeshes and foreign nationals hold a valid visa from Bangladesh; and

– Every Indian citizen holds a valid visa type of Bangladesh. This will be for the airline concerned to ensure that there are no restrictions on trips for Indian citizens to enter Bangladesh before publishing tickets / dormitants to Indian passengers.

From Bangladesh to India

– Indian citizens;

– All Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) The card holder holds a passport issued by Bangladesh; and

– Citizens / Bangladesh residents (including diplomats) and foreigners (including diplomats) who hold legitimate visas are issued by the Indian mission in whatever category included under the Guidelines of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on 30.06.2020 as changed from time to time.
