A total of four people were shot dead on Friday at several sites at Butler Township in Ohio US and the police are now looking for a man who might be connected to the shooting, media outlets have reported.
The shooting took place in the small town of Ohio in the north of Dayton. Overcoming Media Briefing, Butler Township Police Chief John Porter called Stephen Marlow a “attractive person” and said he was likely “armed and dangerous”, CNN reported.
Butler Township Police Chief said that the authorities were being assisted by the Montgomery Regency Sheriff Office, the Federal Investigation Bureau (FBI) and the alcohol, tobacco, firearms and explosives (ATF) bureaus.
The statement added that information shows that Marlow might have escaped from Ohio. The FBI says he has a relationship with Lexington, Kentucky, Indianapolis and Chicago and may be in one of the cities, according to the media portal.
Describing Marlow’s physical appearance, Porter said that he was 5’11 “and about 160 pounds, with brown hair. The authorities believed Marlow, 39, wore shorts and yellow shirts and fled at the edge of the 2007 white Ford.
Ask anyone who has information about Marlow to contact the FBI, the authorities say the alleged shooter should not be approached.
The police responded to a shot report fired before noon Friday, said Porter, and the four victims were killed on the screen. “This is the first crime of violence in this environment in this new memory,” Porter said. “We work to determine whether there is a motive for this terrible tragedy or if mental disease plays any role.”
The police did not believe there was a continuous threat to the environment, but had mobilized additional forces and the Dayton police bomb troops as a precautionary act, Porter said. Porter says people must contact the police if they have information about Marlow’s whereabouts or see Ford Edge. Butler Township is a city consisting of only under 8,000 population around 9 miles north of Dayton.
